Luna’s Vet Bills and Recovery

Hi, my name is Luna! I’m a beautiful brindle Great Dane. I’m 11 months old and have lived in 5 homes during my short life. I took the hoomans of Utah county and surrounding on a wild ride throughout major roads and fields. I really want to love hoomans but I’m still a little nervous. My previous owners didn’t love me the way I loved them. Sometimes I didn’t eat food and got really hungry. I’m 40 lbs under weight but am on my way to recovery. I have 2 cherry eyes that make it hard to see. My pads are worn down from my journey and they even got infected - even frostbite! 12 days in 15 degree weather is not something to wag your tail about. My new pawrents love me very much and have given me the space and time to heal. I want to thank every hooman who kept me in their prayers during my travels. I made it through a record snow storm all by myself and am a warrior. I’d like to give a shout out and thank all of the citizens, animal control officers and police officers that had a paw in my rescue. I’m very grateful to be recovering in a happy and loving home.
