Lunches for Clinicians
COVID-19 has upended all of our lives in unimaginable ways, but we remain hopeful because of the heroes on the frontlines that continue to go into work everyday — the doctors, nurses, and all of the clinical staff caring for symptomatic patients.
Moreover, Colorado's restaurant industry is facing a mandated eight-week closure, and swiftly shifting their operations to curbside pickup or delivery to help keep their businesses afloat. They too, are struggling.
That's why we want to come together, as a community, to work with local restaurants to provide nourishment in the form of breakfast, lunch, dinner or coffee to those working tirelessly to save lives in the ICU.
We'd love your help reaching our goal of $30,000 over the next 30 days. This will allow us to not only provide to a new group of clinicians every week, but also invest resources to and partner with multiple local restaurants and roasters who need our help.
Think about it: $30,000 allows us to provide multiple meals, with multiple restaurant partners, and serve those popular requests, such as 900 pizzas, 7,000 coffees, or 10,000 bagels.
Where will your donations go?
The team at Lunches for Clinicians are a group of friends from Denver that saw an opportunity to boost the morale of the front-line healthcare workers in our Denver community in the form of a warm meal. The majority of your donations will be used to buy lunches from many different local Denver restaurants to feed the day and night ED/ICU shifts at your local Denver-based hospitals. In addition, a small percentage of your donations will go towards a marketing campaign that will produce banners full of thank you notes to clinicians from your local Denver students!
