Lung Cancer treatment for Kelly Emory

Hi, my name is Bonnie Turnage and I’m starting this campaign to help my dearest friends who are facing a long road ahead for their family.

Kelly Emory has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. He is only 52 years old, with wife Susan of almost 30 years, 2 kids Lauren and Cole, and granddaughter Kylie. This diagnosis was sudden, it all started when he went to be treated for what they thought was an upper respiratory infection. A chest X-ray was done, and that is when they learned there was something suspicious on one of his lungs. After his Bronchoscope biopsy, their worst fears came true. His tumor is a little larger than a golf ball in his right upper lung. As of now they know the cancer is in two of the lymph nodes in the area of the tumor, but they don’t know if it has spread anywhere else in his body. They will get more information on how extensive his diagnosis will be and what his treatment will be after his MRI of the brain and the PET scan is done at the end of this week.

He hasn’t been able to work and is facing having to get on short-term disability, which will mean a significant decrease in income. They are facing rapidly increasing medical expenses with much more in the near future.
