Lungs for Julie Swift

Hello family, friends and beautiful strangers,

As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with asthma, IPF, and Emphysema. I am now End stage and there is nothing more they can do except for a double lung transplant. After two years of jumping through hoops with my insurance company, they finally allowed me to start the process in New York City (they would not let me go out of state/out of network and NYC is the only place in NY state that does lung transplants). I completed ten days of testing at NYU Langone in June, went back on September 5th for a follow up CT scan and to meet the surgeon and then yesterday my nurse called to let me know I am officially listed for transplant! However, she let me know that I will need to relocate to be close to the hospital for a least three months after transplant for intensive follow up care and there is no special housing in NYC for lung transplant patients. Finding any housing in NYC right now is hard, finding affordable housing is almost impossible and we can't afford it on our own. Any prayers, donations and/or shares will be greatly appreciated. Any donations over what is needed, I plan on donating to a woman I have met who is going through the same thing. Thank you all so much! God Bless You!!
