lungs for Kathy

KATHY'S STORY
This is my sister Kathy.  She has a genetic version of emphysema with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficency.
She has been on on oxygen full time for about 2 years now.  She has been getting infusions & treatments & undergoing testing for the past year.
This is a genetic disease that she inherited from her father.
WHAT SHE NEEDS:
In order for her to live a longer life and without oxygen or the once a week prolastin treatment she needs a double lung transplant.
The doctors have told her that now it is time for a bilateral lung transplant.  Unfortunately, she needs to raise a portion of the money for this before she can be put on the transplant list.
A little bit about her:
Kathy has the biggest heart of anyone I know.  She would give you the shirt off her back even if it were her last one.  She rescues more animals than just about anyone I know.  She loves her grandsons, her son and the rest of her family.
