Lupé, Annabelle and Joaquin need our support!
Donation protected
Hello Friends, Family and Community,
We are opening up this GoFundMe to support our dear friend Lupé and her beautiful children, Annabelle and Jaoquin, after the passing of their husband and father, Tito.
Tito passed on Friday, June 10th, after a lengthy hospital stay and surgery that did not go as planned.
Tito had been struggling with persistent illness since 2018. It left him unable to work for much of the last 1.5 years, significantly affecting his family and their ability to thrive. Lupé has always had a full-time job and has been able to keep the family afloat, but it's been a constant struggle.
In February of 2022, Tito was finally diagnosed with CREST, an autoimmune disorder that commonly leads to hypertension and heart issues. This diagnosis explained a lot, and it was time to figure out the next steps. In May of this year, Tito was hospitalized with the determination that this hospital stay would help docs figure out how to move forward as Tito was still very ill. In early June, Tito had heart surgery to address how CREST affected his heart. After ten days in and out of a coma, Lupé and Tito's family had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. He left them peacefully on Friday evening, June 10th.
Tito's wish was to be let go if it became clear he would not survive the surgery with any quality of life; Lupé and his family know they have done the right thing, but that doesn't make it any easier, of course.
The last few years' struggles are compounded by substantial medical bills and knowing that the second income stream will never come. Therefore, we are asking for any support you can give this wonderful family during this unimaginable time.
Those of you that know the Garcia-Quiles family know that Tito and Lupé are incredible parents and community members. Annabelle and Jaoquin are phenomenal young people who will only continue to grow with Lupé guiding them, but we can help!
With Love and Appreciation,
Neel McNeill, Erin Cook and the Garcia-Quiles Family
