Lupe's Road to Recovery

On October 6, 2019, Guadalupe was admitted to an emergency room in Pomona, Ca due to a stoke. While being evaluated by the medical staff, Guadalupe slipped into a coma due to her having a blood clot in her brain. While in a coma Guadalupe’s health began to deteriorate with Kidney disease and high blood pressure. Guadalupe has endured a 2 month stay in intensive care unit with around the clock care.
During her 2 months stay in the ICU, Guadalupe has undergone dialysis from her failing kidneys and physical therapy due to her being paralyzed on her left side from the stroke. Just recently her physician began seeing signs of improvement and decided to move her to a rehab center where she will receive physical and speech therapy.
Her mother has been by her side in the hospital every day. With limited access to proper transportation her mom has had to get rides back and forth, thank god for the angels who have been there to support her.
Guadalupe is a young vibrant 19-year-old who has yet to experience the full abundance of life. Plagued with this serious illness she has not been able to do the things she loves like hike, run, walks to the park, hold down her full-time job or even enjoy this upcoming Christmas with her family.
Guadalupe has a very long road to recovery ahead of her. The family has decided to raise funds for the incoming medical expenses, physical therapy, rehabilitation hospital, mobility chair since she is paralyzed on her left side due to her stoke.
The immense support from family and friends has been greatly appreciated.
Please continue to keep Guadalupe in your thoughts, prayers and well wishes.
