Lupotviool voor Myrthe Helder

Lieve mensen,

Mijn naam is Myrthe Helder en ik ben stapelverliefd op een hele bijzondere viool: een Nicolas Lupot van eind 18de eeuw. Zo’n mooie viool is helaas ook kostbaar en daarom heb ik hulp nodig om deze viool de mijne te mogen gaan noemen.

De mooiste viool

Wat maakt deze viool nou zo bijzonder? Ik heb al op heel wat instrumenten gespeeld in mijn leven, maar pas nu heb ik het gevoel dat ik tegen mijn zielsverwant ben aangelopen. De eerste keer dat ik op deze Lupot speelde was magisch en ik moest aan het verhaal uit Harry Potter denken: het is niet de tovenaar die de staf kiest maar de staf de tovenaar. Deze Lupot is een briljante viool, groot, stoer, maar ook heel lieflijk en poëtisch. Hij heeft waanzinnige kwaliteiten, komt zonder probleem boven een heel orkest uit en ontroert wanneer bestreken met een enkele paardenhaar.

Het financiële plaatje

Echt goede violen zijn soms miljoenen waard. Gelukkig is dat niet het geval bij deze viool. Nicolas Lupot was een Fransman en ondanks dat Franse violen niet onder hoeven te doen voor hun Italiaanse collega’s, is het wel direct van invloed op de prijs. Ik heb Stradivariussen in mijn handen gehad en ik prefereer toch absoluut deze Lupot!

Gelukkig dus geen miljoenen, maar toch een bedrag waar ik niet geheel zelf aan kan komen met mijn prachtige maar niet glorieus verdienende vak.

Ondertussen heb ik spaargeld gecombineerd met een culturele lening en steun gekregen van een paar sponsoren. Dit heeft erin geresulteerd dat ik al heel dichtbij mijn droom ben. Maar er is een laatste gedeelte waar ik nog hulp bij nodig heb. Echt alle beetjes helpen om zo snel mogelijk bij dit doel te komen en elk bedrag, hoe klein ook, voelt als een diepe ondersteuning van dit traject.

Alle donaties gaan rechtstreeks naar de aanschaf van de viool. Voor het gedeelte dat niet via deze crowdfunding lukt, zal ik een extra lening afsluiten.

My name is Myrthe Helder and I'm head over heels in love with a very special violin: a Nicolas Lupot from the late 18th century. Unfortunately enough, such a beautiful violin comes with a price and if I want to call this violin mine, I need your help.

The most beautiful violin

What makes this violin so special? I've played on quite a few instruments but only now I have the feeling that I found my soulmate. The first time I played on this Lupot it was pure magic and it reminded me of this passage in one of the Harry Potter books: it's not the wizard that chooses the wand, the wand chooses the wizard. This violin is brilliant, big in sound, bold and at the same time charming and poetic. Its potential is endless; audible even in front of a complete symphony orchestra and touching even when just played with one hair of the bow.

Finance

The real great violins are sometimes worth millions. Luckily this is not the case with this violin. Nicolas Lupot was a Frenchmen and although french violins aren't of a lesser quality than their italian colleagues, French or Italian does make a difference in price. I've tried out some Stradivariuses from colleagues and still I absolutely prefer this Lupot!

Luckily not millions, but still the violin costs more than what is in my financial reach. I have the most rewarding job in the world but it hasn't got the best financial benefits.

Meanwhile I combined my savings with a cultural loan en got support from a few sponsors. This resulted in a down payment which brings me very close to making my dream come true. The remaining amount is still quite something and I could use all the help I can get. Truly every little bit helps for me to reach my goal and any amount of money, no matter how small, feels like a deep support.
