Help Jumpstart LVDC's 1st Tour

Donation protected
LV Dance Collective is celebrating its 5th year season this summer 2018 with its first touring performance in Boston, as part of the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival. As an established Bay Area Dance Company we are thrilled to be representing for our Bay Area community but we need your help in getting to Boston.

The campaign is to help raise funds for LVDC’s first touring performance by presenting an LVDC signature work but with a twist! Part of LVDC’s mission is to connect with human beings all over the world; by touching them in a deep and meaningful place emotionally with our choreography. Your donation will help in making this experience possible.

“Quest For Truth” is the choreographic work that LVDC will be presenting in Boston. This dance piece was choreographed by both the Artistic Directors, Kao Vey Sebastian Saephanh and Martha L. Z. Pamintuan, premiering in 2014. For this tour LVDC will be reviving the dance as a trio, instead of the original duet, by adding in LVDC’s Principle dancer, Amanda Ferrer.

“Quest For Truth” is about a journey to discover one’s inner peace and true authentic power when faced with all of ones turmoils and challenges. With our current President and his policies and immigration laws, politics seem more divided than ever. Our country has become so bipartisan. LVDC feels that this piece is poignant at this time. The piece investigates and asks the question, “How do we navigate and find our spiritual truth within our current rigid and polarized state?”

Traveling to Boston means plane tickets, sleeping arrangements, transport to and from the festival once in Boston, and of course food which brings us close to $3500 to travel.

If you are in a position to give towards LVDC experiencing Boston you can do so by participating in our fundraising campaign. Any amount helps. Please also feel free to SHARE our campaign with your personal community.

We hope you will join us on this new adventure of dance and also consider a donation to sustain the continuation of LVDC’s dance making and sharing in Boston!

With Thankful Hearts,

Kao and Martha
