Marlon's Kidney Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda, I am the wife of Marlon and we have two beautiful children. After serving in law enforcement for approximately 20 years for the state and county my husband had to retire for medical reasons.
He was diagnosed in renal failure 5 years ago and was placed on dialysis 2 years ago. He has treatment three times a week. He was refered to Augusta in December to begin an evaluation for a kidney transplant. We recently learned that he would be placed on the list in the next couple of weeks. The waiting list could be as long as 4 to 6 years or less if we can find a living donor.
During this time we will begin to have some fundraising. We will need this to help with medications, medical treatment, and care because I will be his primary care taker and I will need to take some time away from work to transport him to follow up appointments after surgery.
