Lydia Harper Ortlieb entered into this world on June 14, 2020. She was stubborn like her daddy and sassy like her mommy. The first child of Christopher and Cassidy Ortlieb, eagerly awaited by family and friends, was beautiful. But immediately problems arose. Lydia suffered a congenital diaphragmatic hernia which required her to be life flighted to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. There she underwent two surgeries. Her outlook ebbed and flowed. She was a fighter throughout in spite of being dependent on machines to help keep her breathing. Her eyes always showed so much love for her mommy and daddy and through everything she showed a lot of spunk - especially when her precious little feet were being played with! The doctors and nurses worked so hard to keep her with us, but the battle with complications finally became too much and on Sunday, July 19, 2020, after 35 days of being strong and fighting, Lydia succumbed, to go to a place where there is no pain, no struggle, just the loving embrace of Jesus. Christopher and Cassidy spent 5 weeks in Cincinnati to be by Lydia's side. Christopher lost his job as a result. The family has been devastated. Medical bills, final expenses and living expenses are now facing them. Any help is greatly appreciated. The goal is to raise at least $2500.00. If times are tight please help by praying for Lydia and her family.
