Lydia's Higgy Bears Brace-A-Thon!

Tax deductible
Hello Family and Friends -

I was diagnosed with scoliosis in April and was fitted for a back brace. You can imagine it was a big adjustment because I have to wear it for 18 hours a day. I am very lucky that my best friend's mom had scoliosis and a back brace when she was young, because she understands what I am going through. Knowing what it feels like to need comfort, she searched for something to give that to me and found the Higgy Bear website and surprised me with a stuffed animal kitty with a back brace! I named her Valentina which means "healthy and strong". Valentina wears her brace the same time I do and that makes me feel like I am not alone!

I would like other kids with scoliosis to have the same comfort and therefore I am trying to raise 350 dollars to help 10 other kids get a higgy bear! Will you sponsor my brace-a-thon campaign? I am hoping to have people sponsor me for 1 or 2 days for a dollar every hour adding up to 18 hours a day!

Love,
Lydia

PS: Even though I don't like the brace very much, I know it will be worth it in the end!
