Lydia's journey fighting cancer
Donation protected
The way our community comes together during a time of
need has always been heartfelt. This is one of those times. My
dear friend Lydia Johnson is experiencing a time of need. Lydia
was diagnosed with a rare myxofibrosarcoma cancer. It spread
like wildfire so quickly and recently that her right arm had to be
amputated. Devastating, to say the least. On the positive side, the
wonderful John Hopkins team told Lydia, hopefully, they removed
all of the cancer. Unfortunately, Lydia will need another surgery,
many more doctors and P.T. appts, along with being fitted for a
prosthetic. She amazes us everyday with her healing process.
However, there is no way to know if and when she can return to
work. And, of course, as we know, the mortgage co., hospital,
and medical bills won't stop coming. Lydia and her devoted
husband, Tom, are the most selfless couple I know. They won't
ask, so I am. I know they need some help - whatever we can do to
financially assist so that they can feel some calm about the
day-to-day bills as well as the expense of the prosthetic. I know
how grateful they will be, and if you happen to know them, you
understand. Thanks for taking the time to read Lydia's story. God Bless
