Lyle Botimer: Care and Recovery Fundraiser

Precious Friends of Lyle Botimer,

Lyle, age 90, is now at home recovering from a broken knee. On January 6, he slipped on ice on the porch that appeared to be rain... and fell down the steps to the cement and hard wet ground. His dog, Max, stayed faithfully by his side in the ice cold freezing rain. After Lyle asked God to send someone, a neighbor man eventually responded to his calls for help.

He was diagnosed with hypothermia after being on the ground/cement for about 45 minutes. His knee was broken in three places and he had surgery the following day.

We were asked by one of his former students, Gail, to post a Go Fund Me for his needs as others have been asking.

We'd like to begin by thanking God for the kindness and love already shown to our dear Lyle:

This past week, a wonderful chair was bought and delivered that meets his specific needs, he was given a used bedside commode, hospital table and a bed rail. His insurance covered a walker. He is currently receiving Physical and Occupational Therapy in home.

Current needs that are not covered include: 24 hour care, which started on January 9th and will continue for an undetermined amount of time, and numerous and various medical supplies and expenses. We are uncertain yet as to emergency and hospital costs.

While donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, we especially value your prayers for Lyle’s complete healing and protection as God continues to use him to encourage and share God’s love with everyone he comes in contact with every. single. day.
