Ariel's Lyme Disease and Mold Toxicity Recovery

Donation protected
My name is Ariel, I’m a local artist with roots in Central Vermont. I’m reaching out to my community for support as I face a challenging chapter: Lyme disease and mold toxicity.
How It Began:
In February of 2023 I fell suddenly ill, becoming bedridden and unable to care for myself virtually overnight. I was forced to quit my job, and sadly did not qualify for any assistance. Despite extensive medical consultations and testing at various practices, my condition continued to deteriorate as I struggled to find a diagnosis. These several months were the darkest and most difficult of my life. Accompanied by hallucinations, widespread neuropathy, constant migraines, vertigo, significant weight loss, fainting episodes, muscle and joint pain, fatigue, memory loss, problems with balance and coordination, tachycardia, and a host of other distressing symptoms.
My Diagnosis:
In July of 2023 I received a diagnosis - Lyme Disease. With answers came hope as I embarked on treatment in August of the same year. My case proved particularly complex, as I was resistant to many treatment options. There were countless setbacks, each one more devastating than the last. New symptoms continued to crop up as fast as others were alleviated, including a series of complex respiratory problems and recurrent infections that did not respond to treatment. Through the process of elimination another obstacle appeared on my path - mold toxicity from my living environment. This felt both like a relief to have identified another piece of the puzzle, and catastrophic all at once. April of 2024 marks a crucial turning point as I make the difficult decision to relocate to a clean space, ready to tackle this new challenge head-on. The discovery of mold in my living environment sadly doesn’t only mean relocating, it means the loss of much of my personal possessions.
How You Can Make a Difference:
While I've made strides on my healing journey, I still face financial uncertainty. Alternative medicine has saved my life, though sadly much of these costs are out of pocket. These medical expenses, the cost of relocating, daily necessities, and bills continue to weigh heavily on my shoulders. That's why I'm turning to you, my community, for support. Your generosity will allow me to focus on healing without the added stress of financial strain.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in my life. Together, we can ensure that I have the resources I need to continue my recovery until I'm able to return to work and support myself independently.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me during this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity mean the world.
With warmth and gratitude,
Ariel
