Lyme Treatment for Enlow Girls

Hello friends and family!
This is Elizabeth, proud momma of these courageous women : )
Can you believe that within the last year 3 of our 4 daughters and myself have all been diagnosed with Lyme disease?! Although there is some relief in finally knowing what has been causing many debilitating symptoms for myself and the girls over the years, we’ve discovered that Lyme disease is difficult to treat and a frustrating diagnosis. It has affected each of us to different extents and in different ways. The Lyme bacteria also causes many secondary auto-immune issues that can be better treated when Lyme is no longer present.
Earlier this year some friends of ours who have also suffered from Lyme found an innovative doctor’s office just a few hours away from us who have had great success in not only treating Lyme, but in actually curing it- something thought impossible by most doctors. This clinic uses a state-of-the-art treatment from a lab in Europe. Unfortunately, because it is cutting-edge and must be brought in from overseas, it is expensive and not covered by medical insurance.
Grace has been the sickest of us all. She was able to raise money for this treatment, which she had earlier this Summer and has had great improvement! We feel like she’s finally getting her energy and life back after several years of struggling (including a hospitalization when she was 11 where she almost died and they couldn’t figure out why at the time.) Yes, Lyme disease can be that serious!
The cost of the treatment is $5,500 for each of us (myself, Justice, and Glory), plus some lab fees and follow-up appointments, meaning that we need to raise $18,000 in order for the three of us to be treated and to get Johnny tested as well to make sure he hasn’t been a carrier. (He has had no symptoms that we are aware of, but a blood test will show if it’s “dormant.”)
This treatment will enable me to give more energy to all that we are called to in ministry, which requires quite a bit of travel. Simply put, I’m ready to feel better after a lifetime of pain and various physical symptoms. To be honest, it’s awkward and difficult to be public about this because my whole life I’ve just learned to live with this, but no more, especially for our daughters! This treatment will also allow each of the girls to live life without the distraction of aching bodies, neurological pain, and many sick days. They’ve definitely learned to press through it all and because they are so beautiful, people don’t realize all they’ve been through. Additionally, we need to treat their Lyme before they marry and have children as it is transmitted both sexually and in utero, which is most likely how they got it from me. Even though it was not until recent that I had the blood test for Lyme and was diagnosed, I have had these symptoms since I can remember. We are each so excited and hopeful about feeling well!
We hope that none of you feel obligated to give to this cause, but if your heart is moved by our story, we are so grateful for any amount you can contribute, as well as your prayer. We believe in miracles and God’s supernatural healing...we also believe in God-given breakthrough medicine and technology...we’re grateful for whatever way He brings healing to our family and we look forward to partnering with Him in bringing more awareness in the future to this disease and the injustice that unfortunately currently surrounds it. But that’s a story for another time!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and/or watch...big hugs and blessings to you!
