Lyn Paulett, Always with a smile and forever in our hearts!

Hi, my name is Angie and I am Lyn's daughter. We are raising funds to provide a memorial bench in Mami's honour to Hafan Y Coed - Nursing, residential and care home.

Many people have kindly asked if they can give flowers or donations and I thought this would be the best way to put everything in one place to honour Mami...

After Mami's stroke and subsequent terminal cancer diagnosis in March of this year, she defied the odds and after 4 months of battling in hospital became well enough to be discharged to Hafan Y Coed nursing home, where she would recieve the medical care she required while still being able to enjoy the remainder of her life!

I was lucky enough to spend Mami's last 7 months with her and although challenging... she often said it was the most fun and the most she'd laughed in years :-)

A couple of weeks after moving to Hafan Y Coed, Mami had a true Lazarous moment... and with much improved speech and energy, she had a great couple of months with daily doses of family love, regular days out to her favorite places, meals with olds friend and making new ones.

Her final weeks were challenging to say the least, but in true Mami style she never complained and tried to make the most of things when she could. She did this by sitting out the garden at Hafan Y coed, where along with that beautiful smile, she could feel the sun on her face.

Mami really was a one of a kind and even in her dying days she continued to teach us. She was so couragous and peacfully passed in peace with dignity and grace.
