Lynda Maupin Dixon's Funeral

Lynda Maupin was a dearly loved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a very active and outgoing person who loved the outdoors, photography, and writing. She loved to spend time with her family and friends as well as go on spontaneous adventures with them. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother to her 3 children. She spent a lot of her time writing books and self-published two books. Of greatest importance to Lynda was her love and relationship with God, and it was apparent to anyone that crossed paths with her.

Unfortunately, on September 12th 2017 life came to a halt for our mom as she collapsed from having multiple pulmonary embolisms in both lungs that cut off oxygen to her brain. As a result, she was left with an anoxic brain injury and became epileptic leaving her unable to walk, talk, or care for herself. Despite the grim prognosis given by doctors we watched our mom fight through her neurological and physical afflictions. After more than 6 years of fighting, on the morning of January 31, 2024 she succumbed to her illness and passed away.

We are completely heartbroken by our moms passing and have been asked by many how we can be helped during this time. Unfortunately she did not have life insurance and we are struggling to find the funds needed to cover the costs of her funeral.
