Hi guys, those of you that know Lyndon, know that he is a stubborn but loyal person. He has his way to do things, “the right way”, and doesn’t deviate from that. He loyally takes care of his wife and two boys. He worries and protects them every day. Whether it’s keeping Wes and Hawk quiet while he calls in an elk, or waiting for his wife at the top of the hill as they hike and pick huckleberries, or sitting by the campfire sharing drinks and stories with his Mom and friends. We all have our favorite times with Lyndon, and it’s hard to believe, that we are here today.
Some of you already know that Lyndon is sick, the big kind of sick. He has Mylofibrosis. As if that weren’t enough he also has an antibody that is destroying his blood cells. Mylofibrosis is scarring of the bone marrow that reduces or prevents the production of new blood cells. We are told that he is a stage 3 of 3. His spleen and liver are trying to take over, which enlarges those organs, causing great pain in that area. Myelofibrosis is a very rare disorder that will progress. It causes hemolytic anemia, extreme fatigue and bone pain.
Lyndon is a very hard worker and doesn’t believe he is owed anything that he hasn’t worked for. He is unable to work due to the fatigue and pain, and that will only get worse. He would never ask for help, but his friends and family are asking for him.
Due to the huge reduction in family income (Kathy is a paraprofessional in a special ed. classroom at a local school). Most of you know that her dream has always been teaching, but she has had to put her extended education on hold, to take care of her family. They can no longer afford their rental house…..an old mobile home has been donated to them by a wonderful couple, and will be placed on her parents property for them to live in. Placement is going to require moving, and set up, as well as installing a septic, connection of electric and gas...which is proving to be very costly. All funds have been exhausted all around.
This Go Fund Me is being set up to try and help with those costs.
