Lynette C. Williams' Journey

Donation protected
In March 2013, Lynette Williams presented symptoms of a seasonal cold or virus.  After a month of treatment, she was diagnosed with end stage renal failure.

The onset, due to medicinal administration; the solution, 'dialysis three times per week every week for the rest of your life'.  Dialysis can gravely impact the lifestyle of a typically active individual, and is very expensive if you need to travel and arrange dialysis in another location. Lynette has always prided herself on the maintenance of her health, and helping others improve their health through diet and exercise.

Lynette is resilient, and tried to maintain her lifestyle and independence, despite the fatigue and unexpected medical emergencies that sometimes affect dialysis patients.  Lynette is smart, and was determined to research and learn as much as possible about kidney transplant options.  She aligned herself with NY Presbyterian Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland. Through God’s grace, and to our amazement, on the morning of December 7, 2017, Lynette was blessed with hope and received a call to come to Baltimore -  and on December 8, 2017, Lynette successfully received a kidney transplant!  We are eternally grateful to the family of a generous 20-year-old woman, who donated multiple organs to help others. We keep this family in our prayers in their time of grief.

Kidney transplant recovery is a three-month period, the 1st month (minimum) to be completed at the Marriott Residence Inn on John Hopkins Campus. Thankfully, Lynette is progressing remarkably well, thus far – walking, eating, sitting up, and trying her best to build strength with the help of her caregivers. However, the expense of hotel accommodations, food, travel to medical appointments, and the like are costly for Lynette. We know that God provides all of our needs.  Family and friends have asked how they may assist since they cannot be in Baltimore with Lynette, and we have a few creative ideas:

·         You can donate via GoFundMe (tax-deductible)
·         You can donate directly Lynette C. Williams
·         You can donate Marriott Rewards Points directly to Lynette Williams at the Marriott Residence Inn at John Hopkins Medical Campus.

"You can share your points with any Rewards member you choose. You can transfer 1,000 points or more—up to a maximum of 50,000 points per year—for a transaction fee of just $10 USD. Gold and Platinum Elite members transfer for free. Please contact Marriott Rewards Customer Support at 1-801-468-4000 to start sharing."

We thank you, in advance, and God bless.
