Lynn and her deck

Donation protected
I have been getting some feedback about my comparing an 8 by 8 deck to a prison cell. I did have a reason and a purpose, so I’ll reiterate, even though some at MM have already read this.
I have been taking care of Lynn for 20 years. We are best friends.
Lynn is facing so many physical challenges that I pray no one in MM should ever face.
1: She has stage 4 kidney disease, which means she needs a kidney transplant, and she is waiting to find a donor.
2: She has very bad fibromyalgia, which means if she is awake, she is in extreme pain.
3: She has bad rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis.
4: She uses a wheelchair
She has few things in life that allow her few moments of pleasure in life.
1: her cats
2: the 6 times a year when I can get her out of the house to go to theatre
3: and her deck which allows her to have a small vegetable garden in the summertime and will accommodate her heavy all-season furniture (so she can have friends there). Her current deck allows for a wheelchair and a grill. Her deck has an automatic Sunsetter that her mother paid for when her mom was alive; (as Lynn is extremely sun sensitive).
Her ONLY income is from Social Security. When her ex was alive, she was able to get by, but once he passed, the alimony stopped.
So, for her, an 8 by 8 deck is indeed a prison as it prohibits having a grill, furniture and especially a wheelchair.
She has absolutely no family she can turn to.
I pray that anyone reading this never has to face the physical challenges that she has on a day-by-day basis. And if you do, you will find people more compassionate.
All her life, she has been a loving and giving individual, and now the tables are turned.
Now the Condo Board of Trustees to rebuild ALL the decks. Lynn has no money for the additional size which would cost $16,000. Thus, the go-fund -me page.
Please share it with your friends (and even if they aren’t your friends that would help also.
By limiting her to an 8x8 she will have no quality of life – thank you very much.
Thank you for your kindness.
