Lynn and Norm

Dear friends and family and others,

Thank you so much for all your support, prayers and ongoing good wishes.

Lynn has been taking figurative baby steps of improvement though mentally she is just “over it all”. We are now looking forward to her getting well enough to begin the next part of this journey - transferring to a critical care center. This is like rehabilitation but with the ability to support Lynn’s unique requirements that could not be supported in a regular rehab like St. Joseph’s.

Though this is an exciting prospect, we found out yesterday is that our government has instituted a co-pay for this kind of treatment - $2,000 a month out of pocket.

As if the stress of this all wasn’t enough, this news has turned it up a notch. I have just taken a leave from work to go on EI for “Caregiver Leave” to be there to support my wife on a daily basis. This however means a drastic cut in our household income. With the added cost of $2,000/month on the immediate horizon I am not sure how I will manage.

Now more than ever we really need your assistance.
