For those fortunate to cross paths with Lynn you already know what a kind and generous soul she was.
I'm writing this on behalf of my wife, Christine. To be writing this now seem surreal as you always think there will be more time.
Several weeks ago Lynn admitted herself to the ER for lower back pain where she was given some medication and discharged. A week later as her pain worsened, her daughter Christine, knowing something wasn't right flew across the country and immediately took her to a different hospital. It was there that she was diagnosed with Stage IV Stomach Cancer. Despite the doctors' best efforts, Lynn succumbed to her terrible illness just 20 days later on September 21st.
Lynn loved to travel. Some of the many countries she visited were Thailand, Japan, and Canada. However, her favorite country was her home country of Taiwan. She was a proud Taiwanese American that blazed the trail of citizenship for the rest of her family to later follow suit. She came to the states when she was 26 years old and later went into the accounting field where she stayed at for over 40 years. She also visited many different states in the US and enjoyed the different experiences she had in each one, but her favorite was California where she lived for over 40 years. She also enjoyed trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends. Lynn had a huge heart and tried to help those around her where she could. She'd often volunteer her services at her local monastery as well as prepare their tax returns for free. When my own mother succumbed to cancer a few years ago, before I could even process what had happened Lynn was on a plane to Michigan to help out any way she could.
Let Lynn's story be a reminder to cherish the time we are given with our loved ones and to never take them for granted. Hug them frequently as you never know when you will be able to again.
My family would appreciate any help we can receive in covering medical expenses not covered by insurance along with funeral costs. Every single donation, no matter how small, will help ease the the financial burden. I humbly ask that you share this campaign with your friends and family.
Thank you so much
