Please save our home! We dont want to be homeless!
My name is Lynn King. My husband and myself have found ourselves in a very dire situation. We have been renting this house (my home) for 22 years!
Out of the blue we got notice that our landlord wants us out and we only have until June 30, 2021. We have spent the last two weeks looking for a place to rent and nothing is happening for us because of our low income. We are poor but not destitute.
We have decided to try to find a private lender to maybe help us but we dont know if there is such a person. We have no family to fall back on financially so that is not an option for us.
We are almost 60 and we are scared to death!! We have spent many night crying and begging for help to no avail! We just need someone to care!! PLEASE! I never thought at our age (or any age) we would be facing actual homelessness!
We work hard and we love this house with all of our hearts! We are so heartbroken to be losing the only real home that either one of us have ever known! We raised kids here, and 4 of my 9 grandchildren live across the street from me. I am so beyond heartbroken to lose them too!
As I stated before we have lived here as renters for 22 years and believe me it has not been for free. We pay our bills just like everyone else does.
We take very good care of this house and would love nothing more than to be able to go to bed at night knowing I will have a place to sleep the next day.
If we can get the money we need to buy this house, this is the only thing I have a goal for the money collected is to own this house for us.
This house is small and very humble its not large in way of space but it IS large in way of love! Please consider helping us!!
We have tried and tried all the traditional methods. We are simply not qualifying for anything. Everything (in our area of Salt Lake City Utah) is asking us to make 3X the rent/mortgage payment in income. That is just crazy we dont do that!
We are poor but we have hopes and dreams just like everyone else does. We laugh, we hope, we dream and we cry. We just want our simple little house. Doesn't everyone want a home?
We are literally the paycheck to paycheck people. I have to believe that there is someone out there willing to help hard working people not be homeless.
I am asking that this PLEASE be shared to as far and wide as possible in search of that elusive kindness that is spoken so much about. I am here asking humbly to please consider donating to our cause.
We could never hope to ever pay anyone back for any kindness offered to us by way of donations but I can tell you that I will always help others when I can and will pay it forward for as long as I draw breath.
I send love and thanks for all who share and/or donate!
