Lynn Wiley's Final Expenses
Donation protected
Hi my name is Cressia "Sam" Roberts and I am reaching out to friends and family to help cover the cremation and death certificates for one of the sweetest selfless ladies I have ever known, Lynn Wiley.
Lynn passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday September 6th 2022 after complications from a routine procedure. Her partner of 20 years, Naomi "Nemo" Williams, is left without funds to pay for the cremation and bring Lynn's ashes home. Both of these ladies have lived on disability due to cardiac and back issues.
We are asking to raise $2,156.00 for cremation and four death certificates. Any additional funds raised will go to pay the balance of about $3,000 on Lynn's truck as a resource for Nemo. Lynn loved her truck! We would love to see Nemo be able to keep it.
Lynn and Nemo's generosity is well known throughout South River and Buena Vista where they lived. While they were poor in the pocketbook, they have been rich in their love and giving of their time and resources to others.
Nemo and Lynn have volunteered at Gospel Way Food Pantry and Community Share and have been at Bridge to Hope Food Pantry in Buena Vista for 3 1/2 years. Their generosity was not limited to the pantry but also by helping others by working on their cars, bringing fresh crab in when Lynn went home to the Chesapeake ( she loved crabbing and fishing), making cookies at Christmas and fresh zucchini bread, she processed game and shared with friends. She was a carpenter, loved her dogs and chickens, was a grandmother and an auntie, and had one of the sweetest smiles I've ever known. Lynn and Nemo's generosity extended also to sharing their own food from their home pantry to their neighbors in need.
Lynn lived her life full of heart and full of generosity, without expectation of receiving anything. We will all miss her!
I know that in this economy sometimes there's not a lot to share but if we can all share a little bit we can help Nemo and Lynn after they have shared so much. Let us help Lynn have her wishes fulfilled by being with her mom and dad as they return back to the Chesapeake, and help Nemo as she grieves the loss of her life partner and best friend.
Thank you!!
