Help Lynne Conforti in Her Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Lynne Conforti’s family is reaching out on behalf of our incredible mom. Last year, she bravely battled colon cancer with chemotherapy and surgery. Despite her strength and resilience, we recently received devastating news: the cancer has metastasized to her chest and is now in her lungs.
The aggressive tumors have caused her cancer markers to go up significantly in just a few weeks, leaving us with a guarded prognosis. Lynne will begin an intensive treatment plan involving three different chemotherapy medications through a port placed in her chest throughout the next 6 months. Our ultimate goal is to halt further metastasis and achieve dormancy, buying her more precious time.
Lynne is not only a fighter but also a devoted single mother to five children and a dedicated in-home care provider. With the physical toll of treatments, she'll most likely be unable to work, further straining her finances. Between mounting medical bills and essential living expenses like rent, the financial burden will be heavy.
We are humbly asking for your support, whether through financial contributions or by sharing this campaign and keeping her in your prayers. Every bit helps, no matter how small. Our family's only wish is for Lynne to focus on her health and well-being without the added stress of financial hardship.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, prayers, and generosity during this incredibly challenging time. Together, let's uplift Lynne's spirits and give her the fighting chance she so deserves.
Update as of 3/5/25:
Lynne started an aggressive chemotherapy regimen last April and after 2 rounds of it negatively affecting her quality of life, she decided to discontinue treatment. Over the next couple months, she focused on eating healthy, exercising, and spending quality time with friends and family. After some conversations with trusted people and fervent prayer, Lynne decided to pursue a second opinion at City of Hope Cancer Center in LA. This decision turned out to be the best move and the oncologist there started Lynne on a newer treatment specifically for people with her genetic mutation and diagnosis. Since last July, she has been traveling down to LA every other weekend for treatment. Luckily, a couple of her siblings live close to the cancer center, so she is able to stay with them while she is down there. So far, she has been tolerating the treatment well and there had been marked improvement in her lab work, as well as her scans, which showed tumor shrinkage over several months. Most recently, however, her lung tumors have started to grow, especially one in her lower right lung lobe (it is currently about 2 inches). This tumor growth has been impeding her breathing and causing wheezing and coughing. The next step will be to remove some of the tumor via bronchoscopy so she can breathe easier and 3 rounds of radiation.
Lynne is still fighting and has defied the doctor's original prognosis of 9 months, so we have hope she will continue to defy odds with love and support. If you feel called, any financial help would be greatly appreciated. Lynne has to take some time off work for this upcoming procedure and will likely need to rest for a bit afterwards, especially if she isn’t feeling her best after radiation. Thank you to those who donated at the beginning of this journey, and for encouragement and prayers throughout. God is not finished with Lynne yet!
