Lynn Rekkedal's medical and travel
Donation protected
After 2 long years of doctoring, and a 100 lb unintentional weight loss, my mother was finally diagnosed in August with a rare cancer, Duodenal cancer, a part of the small intestine. At the time of diagnosis, the tumor was almost 100% blocking her small intestine and she was unable to get anything but liquids or soft foods down. It was deemed inoperable. She started chemotherapy immediately after diagnosis, and so far has had 6 rounds. She currently has 10 more to go.
Lynn has been unable to work during this time and the medical bills and travel expenses are adding up.
We were in Grand Forks yesterday for the results of her 2nd PET scan and got some hopeful news... the tumor has shrunk and the cancer is on the run! The doctors are now reevaluating her and she is being referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN.
Any donation, big or small, will help and be greatly appreciated. Prayers are working, so please keep them coming as well!
