The Lyrical Groove has made it a mission to do inspirational music that represents the vast array of relationships, images and challenges we face in our communities. They perform in schools, colleges and socially conscious events not only as entertainment but many times as workers in the field of politics and social service. The partnerships with organizations like the YMCA, NAMI, UDW, Alliance San Diego and San Diego Community Colleges help to further the underlying passion of the Lyrical Groove, which is to make an impact on our communities that speaks to more than just entertainment. We hope to inspire and build our communities and this society for generations to come.
The Lyrical Groove has been a staple of quality music in San Diego for the last 5 years fusing spoken word, live instrumentation, and the genres of spoken word, hip-hop, soul, jazz and rnb. The Lyrical Groove has performed all over San Diego in a myriad of events ranging from the rallies to raise minimum wage, San Diego Indiefest, the All People's Breakfast, SOUNDiego, YMCA MLK Breakfast, NAMI Walk, RAW Artist Showcase, Tonight in San Diego, Art Around Adams and more. We have performed at some of San Diego's most notable and historical venues including Humphrey's, 7 Grand, 98 Bottles, The Casbah, Anthologys, and the San Diego House of Blues where we had a cd release for the debut full length album, Spoken Soul: Music for Life.

We are ready to spread our wings a little more and see this conference as a wonderful opportunity to explore the realm of music outside of San Diego. We are always looking to educate ourselves and we know that if we want to get to the next level we'll need to continue to educate ourselves. And as many of you know, when it comes to business, it is not about "what" you know, its "who" you know so we see this as an opportunity to connect with others that can help us find some platforms that we might not be able to find in San Diego. We have undoubtedly been supported by our San Diego community, which is why we support the community the best way we know how. By providing quality music that speaks to our communities, spirits, life experience in an ELEVATED fashion. ( S/O to spoken word fam)
