M. MacLaren's Medical Expenses

Friends of The MacLaren Family would like to help Jamie, Karen, Janna and Jack get through this very difficult and uncertain time with their middle daughter/sister, Maura.

On Friday, July 29, 2022, Maura and her friend were taken to Hopkins BayView Trauma Center after getting hit by a car in Towson when crossing the street after a movie. The driver fled the scene and there is an ongoing investigation. Maura was admitted and is in critical condition with brain injuries.

Those of you who know Maura, know she is a strong, brilliant, and vibrant young lady. Her strength shows in all aspects of her life and she will fight with everything she has to get through this.

Her road to recovery will be long and have many turns and bumps...ones no one can foresee at this time. With so many moving parts on her journey; extended and frequent hospital stays, rehabilitation, home health care, insurance co-pays, parking passes, gas, etc...we would like to help them with some of these expenses. So much of Maura's future is unknown right now and it would be nice to give her family a little cushion so they can give their 100% focus to her.

All funds raised will be used solely for Maura's medical expenses. At the end of her recovery road, if there are any funds left in this account, The MacLarens will donate them to The Children's Center at Johns Hopkins. As you know, Maura is an education major at the University of Maryland and has always been drawn to helping children. The gift that will keep on giving.
