Daves Cancer fight
We can all attest that 2020 has been a very trying and troublesome year. For the Hall family it has been overwhelming.
It all started in February when we were told Daves dad was not doing well and losing his battle to cancer. We decided to make the long trek to Australia to be with his father and Step Mother for his remaining time. Dave was a huge support, showed a side of compassion and caring for his father I don’t think he knew he had in him right up to his last breath when the ambulance attendant whispered “I’m sorry he’s gone” We said our goodbyes, returned home to covid 19, and the shock of me losing my full time job..
Little did we know the worst was just around the corner. Dave began feeling very unwell was lethargic, losing weight, began experiencing pain and had intestinal issues... then came the Lump!
All of this turned into a whirlwind of appts, biopsy’s , bloodwork, MRI, and CT On August 18th our world turned upside down when we were given the news Dave has Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma a cancer that can be treated to slow progression but will never be cured. He will begin a vigorous 6 months of chemotherapy to slow growth in small intestine, lungs and bone marrow.
For you that know me you know that asking for help is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I have always fixed things, made things work. I don’t know how to fix this :(
Battling a disease like cancer has a huge emotional and financial component and I am hoping with the support of all of you Dave can focus only on his health. He has always been a hard working man, working very long tireless hours to provide for his family with never a complaint.
Starting a go fund me account and asking for financial assistance is a feeling of helplessness that I cannot explain . If you are able to help in any way, even just a message of support to Dave we will be forever grateful. I will continue to post updates on Daves journey ♥️
I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.
