Help Tom Rebuild His SQ2

Donation protected
Tom has around 1200 total flying hours in Alaska, with 460 hours in the SQ2. The SQ2 is a backcountry super cruiser kit out of Douglas Wyoming that he built himself. He started the build on December 15th 2014 and finished it almost exactly a year later on December 18th 2015.

Tom has competed and won several flying events, and flies off airport regularly.

Tom was competing in the Slow Speed Competition. His slowest recorded speed was 17 mph, which earned him 1st place in the competition.

Tom was flying at the edge of the SQ2's envelope when the headwind subsided, resulting in a loss of lift and subsequent stall.

Tom walked away uninjured, but his SQ2 was not so lucky. To make matters worse, the insurance application for the SQ2 was still at home sitting on his coffee table. Tom is a great guy who loves Alaska and aviation.

Many people at the Fly In asked if there was any way they could help Tom out. As a result, we have started a GoFundMe campaign for him. Tom gave his consent, but is in no way asking for a handout or contribution. He is a real Alaskan Bush Pilot and will rebuild his SQ2 regardless. For those of you who would like to help him out, share the GoFundMe page and follow his progress.
