In Memory of Ronnie Craig: Please help with expenses

Please help us honor the memory of our father, Ronnie Craig.

Dear family, friends, and compassionate strangers,

With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved father, Ronnie. He passed in his sleep at the age of 70. We are not yet certain of the cause which has also delayed our sense of closure. As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we are reaching out for support to help cover the costs of his funeral, possible autopsy and related expenses.

Dad was not just a loving father but our rock and our inspiration. Against all odds, he made it out of a rough upbringing to Hawai’i where he bettered his life and raised us. He was incredibly proud of his children, and we were his life. His sense of humor could light up any room, and his love for music and dancing brought joy to everyone around him.

He was devoted to his work as the onsite property manager of his apartment building, where he went above and beyond. He loved helping people and he put special attention into looking after the elderly residents. His dedication and kindness touched many lives. The outpour of stories of our father have been so heartwarming. On the day of his passing the skies were gray and gloomy in the middle of a very warm summer and you could feel the loss of so many who loved him.

The passing of our father was a devastating shock. Had we known, we could have prepared ourselves emotionally and financially. The expenses involved have been challenging. My sister and I have both had to take significant time off work to manage these arrangements and are having trouble covering all of the costs.

We are hoping to raise funds to cover:

-A potential autopsy so that his loved ones can feel the closure they need

- Funeral and memorial service costs, so we can give him the farewell he deserves

- Food, flowers, and photos for the service

- Cremation expenses

- Any outstanding medical bills

- Travel expenses required to handle his affairs and service

- Other unexpected expenses related to his passing
