Journey to Baby Hamby - IVF Fund!

Dearest Family, Friends, and Supporters,

As many of you know, our journey to parenthood has taken a few more twists and turns than we had expected. Our newest update is that Jarrod and I have decided to move forward on our journey with IVF. We started trying to conceive in September 2021 and by July 2022 were diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility. After lots of tests on Jarrod and myself, our doctors weren’t able to find an explanation for why we had not been able to conceive. Between August 2022 and June 2023, we underwent 5 rounds of IUI (intrauterine insemination). Unfortunately, all of our attempts were unsuccessful. This is what has now led us to choosing IVF. While we are grateful that this is an option we are also anxious about the new set of emotions and financial burdens that come with this decision.

Our hearts are forever grateful for the amount of prayers, well wishes, comforting hugs, and encouragement that many of you have shared with us during our journey. After much thought and consideration, we have decided to lean into your love and support in anticipation of welcoming a child into our family.

We are asking you to join us in our journey by offering financial support as we embark on IVF. We understand this is a non-traditional approach to show support for welcoming a new baby, but without insurance coverage, we are faced with the task of paying for this treatment out-of-pocket. We would forever be grateful and appreciate any help that we can get to make our dreams a reality.

We are hoping to raise $5,000 to put toward the $13,000 that we have to start paying on August 11 in order to begin treatment by the end of August/early September. Any donations made will be used to pay for our initial appointment with our IVF nurse, monitoring appointments including ultrasounds and blood draws, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer. It will also help cover a portion of our medications.
