Buckner Family Memorial
A memorial fund is being established to help with the funeral costs for the loving family who were lost in a domestic violence shooting and house fire that occurred Tuesday morning on February 23rd, 2016. All of the proceeds will be going to funeral costs and other impending expenses for the Buckner Family. The parents of the family were Kimberly and Vic Buckner. Along with them, were eighteen year old daughter Kaitlin Buckner and her six year old sister Emma Buckner. Additionally their son, Alex Buckner who was twenty six years old and suffered from mental health issues, was also lost.
Kim and Vic, were loving and dedicated parents who worked extremely hard to support their family. Kaitlin was a bright teenager who had a great future ahead of her. She was attending Gateway Community College and also had a part time job at Party City. She was very brave and tried to save her family by calling the police during the tragedy. Emma was an angel who was very loving and happy kindergartner who always had a big smile on her face. The family loved going outdoors and doing activities together. They often rode quads and would go out to the lake. They will always be loved and missed dearly.
Our condolences to the Buckner’s and their extended families. Thank you for your support, love, and donations.
I am Carol Adams and I reside in Phoenix Arizona. I am Robert Zard's sister in law. Robert was Kim's brother and uncle to Emma, Kaitlin, and Alex. I volunteered to help Robert and his mother Donna Wallace with the collection activities as the Buckner family had limited resources and the extended family is understandably overcome with emotion. The Wallace/Zard family is aware of this campaign and it has been discussed with the extended Buckner family as well. Proceeds from this memorial fund will automatically be transferred to the Chase account Buckner Family Memorial fund and will be used for cremation, burial, funeral and memorial services for the family of five. Any remaining money will be applied towards probate costs. If money is left over it will be donated to a mental health charity of the families choosing.
