Making Ends Meet

Dear Friends, I have asked you for help before and I have to ask again.

I have retired from teaching after 37 years.  Unfortunately, I have not yet received my pension (because someone, not me, missed a deadline), and I am having a serious disagreement with the Social Security Administration.  

I am in desparate financial trouble and need your help to get through the next two months or so.  My December rent is due on the 1st and I don't have any money to pay it.  My gas is off, so I don't have heat or hot water.  All of my prescriptions need to be refilled this week.  No money for that, either.  It's a good thing I like peanut butter.

I should start receiving pension benefits on January 1 and by then I'll have some idea of what Social Security wants soI can start receiving my benefits.
