Help Bring Sayed Home

Donation protected
Once, in a faraway land, a 27-year-old young man named Sayed Habib Hashimi had dreams as vast as the Afghan skies he once soared through as a former Afghan National Army pilot. His journey, filled with courage and resilience, led him to seek refuge in the United States, escaping the turmoil that engulfed his homeland after the Taliban took control in August 2021.

Rising Above the Storm: Sayed's story was one of hope in the face of adversity. With dreams of peace and a brighter future for his family, he left everything behind in pursuit of safety. The United States offered him a glimmer of hope and a chance to rebuild his life.

But on September 5th, 2023, tragedy struck in Schiller Park, shattering the dreams and aspirations of a young man who had already endured so much. Sayed Habib Hashimi lost his life, leaving behind a grieving family in Afghanistan who longed to lay him to rest on his native soil. Now, we come together to honor the memory of Sayed Habib Hashimi and assist his family in their time of need. They face the daunting task of returning his body to Afghanistan and providing him with a proper funeral and burial.

How You Can Help: Your generosity can make a world of difference. Please consider donating to the Sayed Habib Hashimi Memorial Fund. Your contributions will go towards repatriating Sayed's body, the funeral arrangements, and providing his family with the closure they deserve.

Share the Love: We also ask for your help spreading the word. Share this fundraiser with your friends and loved ones. Together, we can ensure that Sayed Habib Hashimi's legacy lives on and that his family can find solace in knowing he is remembered and honored by people worldwide.

Sayed Habib Hashimi's life was marked by bravery, hope, and an unwavering desire for a better future. Let us unite as a community, regardless of borders, to support his family in their time of need. Your kindness will assist in his final journey and serve as a testament to the compassion and unity that transcends all boundaries. Thank you for honoring Sayed's memory and helping to bring him home.

Funds will be distributed to Sabir Kohistani, who will be handling the repatriation flight details and transferring funds to Afghanistan.
