Help us rebuild after Hurricane Helene
I'm setting this up and it says to tell your story. I have over 35 years of stories in this neighborhood. Do I talk about my mom's house? The house I grew up in, the same house I just watched get surrounded by water and ended up with four inches inside. or do I tell the stories of my house? The dock that my husband and I were married on that was washed away? the house we raised our son in that ended up with about fourteen feet of water inside? When my son was little I had my desk set up in the corner and he would sit on my lap and play games on my computer before bed. That corner is now collapsed.
FEMA still hasn't declared our area a disaster zone yet. Four of my neighbor's homes were completely washed away.
I'm trying to raise money for both my Mom's house and mine. We are trying to fix my mom's house first so we can stay there while ours is being rebuilt. even if you don't donate to mine please donate to my neighbor's.
