Help Amanda get a new front tooth
Donation protected
Hi friends,
My name is Amanda, and I'm raising funds to help pay for an emergency dental situation.
I was in a car accident in 2007 that permanently altered my four front teeth. When I came to, I found one of those teeth on the dashboard and a surgeon was amazingly able to reintegrate it into my gums.
Fifteen years later, I'm experiencing severe root resorption out of the blue, which means that the roots of the tooth are being absorbed by the surrounding gum tissue, eventually leaving it without any support and causing a lot of inflammation in the process. I'm grateful that the tooth survived this long, but I was not expecting this to happen.
On top of this past trauma to my teeth, I recently had an accident where I fainted and hit my head. The tooth that needs to be extracted is now pushing on, and shifting, my other front teeth, so it feels even more pressing to get it taken care of. I'm experiencing discomfort and eating food has become difficult.
The treatment that is needed involves costs that I'm not able to afford. I don't know how long I have until my tooth either falls out or I am forced to have it removed, so my goal is to get as much help as I can in the shortest amount of time. Because the cost of dental surgery is so high here in the US, my plan is to travel to Mexico where the cost of my treatment is significantly lower, even including travel expenses.
The tooth requires an extraction, bone graft, ridge augmentation, a temporary denture, and an implant, abutment, and crown which is a two-part process taking 6 months to a year to complete. This process requires two to three separate trips to Mexico, which is still less expensive than having any portion of the surgery done here.
Any and all funds raised will go towards the cost of the treatments as well as travel expenses. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for any help you are able to offer.
Love you!
