Tori O Rourke Help us bring our Twins home
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Tori and I am from Ireland. At the end of August my partner and I decided to go on a ‘baby moon’ to Spain, our last holiday together as a single couple as we were expecting twins December 2021. This was deemed safe by my doctor and we were very excited.
Just two days after we arrived i started to feel very ill. I went to hospital and found out I had contracted COVID-19. I was given medication and send home that day. I got gradually worse and was admitted back into hospital, and put into ICU in critical condition. My condition deteriorated so quickly and so aggressively that I had to undergo an emergency C-section for my twins babies, at only 24 weeks.
My babies and I are both still in ICU. They will need to stay in intensive care for at least 6 weeks in Spain with possibility of many surgeries as they were born so premature.
The twins were born on the morning of September 12th at approx 2am. I have still not been able to see them, touch them or hold them as I am still in ICU myself. My partner Phil has been allowed to see them, in short intervals. We are both very scared and very stressed as we have also not be permitted to see each other yet. This along with the language barrier makes it even more difficult to access the necessary information about the twins.
We would greatly appreciate any donations/contributions to our new little family and thank you for taking the time to read.
How the funds will be used:
€10000 Will be used for various Medical expenses for the twins
€10000 Will be used for accommodation and transportation costs allowing us to stay in this country to take care of our beautiful babies while on the long road to recovery.
