Stream of Holly Cross Childrens Home

We would like to invite you to join our family in continuing and growing support for the Holly Cross Childrens Home in Jinja Province, Uganda.

During the pandemic, we got to know Kyelu Tadeo, and have been contributing money to his initiative which currently supports 30 orphans at the cost of $1,000 per month for food and clothing. To date, we have helped to raise more than $4000 for this effort.

Uganda is a challenging place to live with government corruption, crimes against humanity, AIDS, and lack of clean drinking water and sufficient food. For more information, see this human rights report.

Kyelu and the children have been so appreciative of the support they have received. They have put together this website and are looking for sustained help for the orphans as well as the elderly in the community, funding for wells for clean water, and the purchase of adjacent land to grow their own food.

We learned from a previous donor that Kyelu had been taking the kids into his own home and then worked hard to raise enough money to build a separate building for them. Their current fundraising target for the above activities is approximately $75,000. In the near term, we are hoping to raise at least $10,000, and then perhaps ask philanthropic institutions to match.
