Ciara's recovery journey

Hi my name is Ciara Mohan Gustafson,

I am just starting my journey into my treatment plan for my breast cancer that was recently discovered in September 2022.

It came as a devastating shock to myself and my family.

We have had an incredibly challenging year starting with a freak accidental fall at home which left me in the ER and a follow-up corrective eye surgery, Into the mix of all this I had a colonoscopy in February which found two pre-cancerous polyps.

My husband Jeff also unfortunately lost his sister Kim to cancer on Memorial Day of this year.

Then in July our well pump went out in our house setting us back $6,000 as we had to dig all the way down to replace it with a brand new one, and we just learned that a few of our vehicles need some major work, plus our washing machine has decided to quit here in October.

I am unable to work a normal schedule due to the many medical treatments, and multiple breast surgery biopsies.

In 2020 I was told I have rheumatoid arthritis this causing its own struggles.

I have been taken off all that medication so now I will be back to the joint inflammation I had that led to the discovery.

We will be reliant solely on my husband's income and things will be very tight, leading to a lot of anxiety with all the medical bills that will rolling in.

The funds will be used for medical bills and transportation costs to and from appointments.

We will have to repair the vehicles to get my husband to work, and we are still navigating his benefits to figure what time he can take off that will be paid to help me in my recovery days.

The funds will be gratefully accepted, and used wisely to help us through this and hopefully move forward in this journey with a little less anxiety.
