What is Project Isaiah?
Project Isaiah is a new initiative designed to tackle hunger-related challenges brought on by the Covid-19 crisis. Our mission is to deliver meals to those in need and preserve food service jobs.
Initially launched by a network of anonymous funders, Project Isaiah is already bringing 250,000 meals / week to those in need in ten cities across the U.S.
Project Isaiah partnered with Gate Gourmet, an airline food service provider. Gate Gourmet has the expertise to produce boxed meals at scale from facilities adjacent to local airports, and its employees are now creating boxed meals for those in need. Capital provided by Project Isaiah allows Gate Gourmet to keep its workers employed during this economic downturn.
Boxed meals provide several days of food during the quarantine, allowing people to shelter-in-place, and require fewer volunteers to deliver than daily hot-meal service.
Project Isaiah has partnered with dozens of local organizations in ten cities, and is providing them with boxed meals to disseminate to the populations they serve as well as to other non-profits in the surrounding area.
As it continues to raise funding, Project Isaiah plans to expand to over one million meals per week, supporting more Americans in need as well as preserving more jobs.
Here’s how you can help:
If you are in a position to contribute financially, we hope you will donate today. No dollar amount is too small.
A donation of $20 allows Project Isaiah to feed a family of four, as well as helping to preserve jobs for hardworking Americans.
We are an entirely volunteer-based organization and all funds raised go toward providing food and saving jobs.
Please email us at [email redacted] for information regarding tax-deductible donations.
