Penny

On Sunday 25th February 2024, we took our whippet Penny to the beach to join in on the monthly Wirral Whippet Walk. Never did we think this would be the last time we would see her in her element. She unfortunately collided with another dog while running and was rushed to an emergency vet. After X-ray, CT Scan and MRI it was confirmed she had fractured her spine. Penny underwent surgery but unfortunately due to complications didn’t wake up and sadly drifted off into her next life.

Today we said our goodbyes and told the children, we are all beyond devastated and shocked over the loss of our darling Penny who was only 3 years old.

Penny was a perfect family dog who gave the most amazing cuddles and companionship. Each night she would sit with the children as they went to sleep before a nighttime lounge on the couch in front of the TV. She loved nothing more than chasing her ball at the beach and going on adventures.

Penny was insured but the cover only reaches £3,000, the bill has come to £10,000 and we are trying to raise funds to match the difference. We would appreciate anything you can spare to help with our situation.
