Medical Expenses for Tee Reed

My name is Darren Thevenote and I’m making this Go Fund Me page for my step dad, Tee Reed. Tee has been married to my mom, Debby, for 16 years and has been a huge part of me and my sibilings’ lives. Besides me, my sister and my brother, he also has a daughter, Jada, 6 grandkids and another one on the way. Tee is a welding inspector and just spent the last several months working in Pennsylvania. After traveling home to see his family and meet his new granddaughter before starting his next job in North Louisiana, he was unexpectedly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. In the last two weeks he has had two hospital admissions and undergone blood transfusions, platelet transfusions and a bone marrow biopsy. After traveling to New Orleans and meeting with oncologists at Ochsner, we learned that he will be starting chemo in the next few days and he will be spending the holidays and his favorite time of the year “hunting season” in the hospital. Any donations will go to medical expenses while Tee is in the hospital undergoing treatment. This page is to hopefully help with the stress of medical bills and the worries that come with having a sick family member.

Also, if anyone local is wanting to help by just offering their time, there will be a Tee Reed Cancer Benefit on December 3rd from 12pm-5pm in New Iberia, Louisiana. Location: 715 Hwy 90 East New Iberia, LA 70560. This benefit will include: a $10 jambalaya plate lunch with a drink, live entertainment, children’s fun jump, and a misc. auction.
