Team Hunter

This GoFundMe is to support Matt and Ellie Mathys and their one month old son Hunter.  Ellie and Matt are a wonderful couple from Wisconsin that were recently married and joyfully became pregnant with Hunter shortly after their wedding.  Ellie had a great pregnancy, a challenging labor and delivery and was enjoying motherhood and getting to know their newborn son at home while Matt was back to work. 

On December 15th, Ellie and Matt noticed their baby boy having some difficulty breathing.  They rushed him to the ED and he ended up being flighted down to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.  Watching their newborn in respiratory distress being taken away by helicopter was a living nightmare.  Hunter was diagnosed with a large cancerous mass in his abdomen and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).  Hunter and family survived through medical emergencies during his first week at Childrens Hospital and he had a successful surgery on December 21st but has a long road to recovery including intensive chemotherapy. 

Although Matt and Ellie would never ask for help, they are some of the most loving and generous people, and are always there for family and friends when needed.  Please consider donating to support them so they can focus on helping Hunter heal rather than bills adding up at home.  Most importantly please keep the Mathys and Frey families in your prayers. Pray for God to help Hunter through the fight of his life and for Matt and Ellie to feel at peace with all the upcoming decisions for his care.
