Glass Family Support Fund

Many of you know our brother, Bob Glass. He is not only a wonderful brother but also a fantastic father and family man. He and Dana are devoted parents and have spent most of their free time with the boys as they were growing up. Even now, the "boys" (now young men) choose to "hang out" with them. Even though Whitney lives away from the area, Bob cherishes his time with her and his grandchildren. And Bob and Dana are still one of the coolest couples we know! As sisters, we appreciate that Bob and Dana have hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas at their house for many years. He has "rescued" us when cars have broken down or when we needed a place to spend the night. But right now, Bob and Dana need our help.

After being diagnosed with a blood clot in his lower calf and put on blood thinners, he and his doctors decided to do a complete checkup. A 2 cm mass was discovered on 06/06 and he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Metastatic Lung Cancer. On 06/11, he had a minor stroke and was hospitalized for several days. Thankfully, the stroke did not cause any permanent severe damage. His doctors are still trying to determine as to the reason for the stroke.

He starts Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy on 07/19, which will hopefully last for only 8 rounds. The doctors at MD Anderson, and UTMB are optimistic about getting his cancer in remission. But, he and his family have a long fight ahead of them.

Bob and his family do have insurance through a private company. However, it is a short-term plan and not great coverage. He is facing a long road to recovery, which will be quite expensive. Anything that you can donate would be a true blessing. If you cannot donate, please keep him and his family in your prayers, and consider sharing this with others.
