My 12 Year Old Son's Religious Rights

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Angel and this is a piece of my story. I've been going through a high-conflict divorce since May 18, 2021. We are near the end of this divorce, I am out of money and I have to fight for my son's religious freedom. Every credit card in my name has been maxed out without any way to make the minimum payments and attorney fees are building up.

August 26, 2021, The court-appointed Guardian ad Litem (GAL) asks the judge for a court order stating that our son not be allowed to attend any religious services as I am a Christian and my husband a Muslim. Within the order, we are not allowed to discuss religion with our son, allow anyone else to discuss religious beliefs with our son or give him any religious written materials.

June 22, 2022, Opposing counsel official offer: I get sole primary custody of our son without further disputes if I agree to my husband's full religious and educational rights. Meaning I will lose my religious rights, and my husband will be able to force our son to go to the Mosque at any time.

My husband told me that he will fight me for everything if I do not agree to raise our son as a Muslim. He has tried many tactics, including offering me unlimited spousal support, half of his 401k without any questions, primary custody, etc. So all I have to do is raise our son as a Muslim, put him in a Muslim school and give up my religious rights.

I had sat down with my prayer journal to seek God on what I should do. God boldly answered me when I opened my Bible to Jude 1:3 amp Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I was compelled to write to you [urgently] appealing that you fight strenuously for [the defense of] the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints [the faith that is the sum of Christian belief that was given verbally to believers].

You see, it’s not just giving up my religious rights as a parent but controlling what I do with our son during my parenting time within our home. For example, our son would not be allowed to attend any services at Church or be exposed to any other religion. If I were to accept this offer and not follow the rules of being raised as a Muslim, my husband would use this as an opportunity to take me back to court repeatedly.

Even Jesus is our advocate before God Almighty, so how can I go before an earthly judge without counsel? We are finally near the end of this long, drawn-out divorce, and I am pleading for your help to raise $50,000 to cover the outstanding balance of $14,137.50 plus the cost of going to trial. Any unused funds will go to start a nonprofit organization helping other women in similar situations and maintain adequate counsel.

This fight is for my son to practice both faiths with both of his parents and have the right to decide which faith to follow at the age of 14. Please seek God and prayerfully consider giving to my cause. Please pray God will provide every dime we need to proceed. Pray God will continue to give me the strength, courage and boldness to fight this spiritual and physical battle.  Pray for complete healing within my husband, our son and myself.  Most importantly pray God’s will be done in the mighty, powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you

and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
