Support a Family's Recovery from House Fire

When it rains, it pours. On 10/12/2024, my mom got a call around 3:30 pm that my house is on fire. My mom entered a state of shock, in tears, unable to talk, trying to ask me where I was and if I could make my way home to see if it was true. My sister, her husband, and their 2 kids weren't home. My mom, her husband, and I were at work. Thankfully, my dogs and my mom's birds were able to make it out thanks to the Fire & Police Department, because of how quick they were to respond to the call.

We are in a moment of shock. It is 7 of us who are now trying to figure out how we can get back to normal. We are staying strong by the grace of God and the support of our family, their words, and prayers from close friends and the community who have been great. As a family, we are just coping and trying to see what tomorrow has for us.
