A Future for Finley
On the 9th May 2023, the family and friends of Gerry Glackin had their world torn apart upon the devastating news that their son, brother, father, uncle, work colleague & friend had died suddenly from what we believe were complications from his lifelong diabetes condition.
Aged only 37, Gerry had only lived half of his life.
His 7-year-old son, Finley, was his life.
We, his family and friends want to set this page up to ensure Finley does not have to struggle through life with any financial issues. We are forming a committee which will manage all donations and place them in trust for Finley until he is 21 years old.
When Gerry returned home on a Friday evening, from his working week in Dublin, he would spend his time with ‘the wee man’, as he called him.
They would spend their Saturdays and Sundays, which they had together, making memories.
They would go out on the quads, go to the cinema, go for lunch, go for haircuts, kick a football about, a drive in the car or simply playing outside in the tree house, which Gerry built for his wee man.
Anyone who had the privilege to know Gerry knows that his wee man was his world, and he would always go above and beyond to ensure that Finley was safe, happy & had everything he needed.
Nothing will ever come close to the bond that Gerry & Finley had, but together with your help, we can at the very least, take the financial stresses away and help Finley adapt to his new life without his Daddy.
All funds raised on this page will be used to fund Finley’s needs throughout his future.
Please give what you can, no matter how big or how small. Every Euro helps.
Thank you for reading & Thank You in advance for your kind donation.
