Jason's brain tumor awareness fund

My husband was recently diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor in his brain. We were stationed in Okinawa, Japan when they found the tumor and immediately we were flown to Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, for surgery. The day after we arrived to HI he went in for surgery to remove the tumor. After 6.5 hours in surgery they were only able to remove 90-95% of the tumore(originally the size of a big golf ball). The dr then informed me that he had a medulloblastoma. It is a cancerous tumor typically found in children under the age of 10. It's is an aggressive tumor and has a bad reputation for coming back. As soon as the incision site is healed Jason will go through the long hard journey of receiving radiation and chemo. As this is all going on Jason will be also going through the process of getting discharged from the military. We have a very long road ahead of us. We also have an 8 month old little boy who needs his daddy more then ever! As soon as we make it back to Tennessee and start treatment at Vanderbuilt, we will begin to process of getting a home as well. After all is said and done Jason will be out of the military and hopefully we can get a home in order for him to come home to. Jason is one of the most amazing men I have known, he's my best friend, and an amazing dad to Gunner. A little can go a long way! Please continue to pray for him and our family! With much love and appreciation-Melissa A Gobbell
